In partnership with Foundation Dining Services, we are spreading the word to reduce plastic straw use on campus. More and more momentum has been building to shift away from single use plastic products as awareness of plastic pollution in oceans has increased. Please join us in making the campus straw free.

The ASI Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) seeks to embrace sustainable student ideas and practices that can be implemented on campus. Projects that encourage educational campaigns, workshops, research, projects, entrepreneurial ventures, conceptual pieces, art shows, zero-waste events, and other concepts related to sustainability can be funded through this program.

"Real Food" encompasses a concern for producers, consumers, communities, and the earth. We are supporting Los Olivos in their endeavor to undertake the Real Food Challenge. The goal is to shift our food purchases away from industrial farms and unhealthy foods and toward local, humane, fair, and ecologically sound food sources.

The Bronco Energy Competition establishes a common voice to motivate hundreds of on-campus students to reduce their energy consumption and mitigate the impacts of climate change. The Office of Sustainability partners with University Housing Services to provide a month of sustainability driven programs and events for participating students. This competition is an opportunity to have an immediate and lasting impact on our school’s carbon emissions and campus culture.
